Cleretum papulosum subsp. schlechteri conspicuous surface cells

Cleretum papulosum subsp. schlechteri conspicuous surface cells
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The leaf surface cells of Cleretum papulosum subsp. schlechteri may appear sugary, as found on certain kinds of sweets or candy favoured mostly by kids. It is very unlikely that these leaves or their surface cells will taste even remotely like sugary sweets (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
