    Photographer: Uri Mitrani

The globose female Leucadendron argenteum cone is hard, tightly covered in firmly adhering, overlapping bracts. The bracts are broad, widely curve-tipped in picture, glossy and pale bluish grey with some pink in parts. There is a tiny, protrusion at the tip of each bract.

Both male and female cones exude a faint, pleasant aroma.

Bloomtime is spring (Coates Palgrave, 2002; Rebelo, 1995; iNaturalist; Wikipedia).
