    Tritonia karooica leaves

    Tritonia karooica leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The sword-shaped leaves of Tritonia karooica grow in a fan-shape directly from the ground. The about five to eight leaves have prominent midribs and are sickle-shaped with bluntly pointed to rounded tips.

The purple leaf colour in picture may also be dull blue-green on thriving plants (Shearing and Van Heerden, 2008; iNaturalist).
