    Jamesbrittenia racemosa flowers

    Jamesbrittenia racemosa flowers
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

Flower colours in Jamesbrittenia racemosa may vary with age. The corolla is very slightly two-lipped, the streaks from the mouth longer on the lower three lobes, longest on the lowermost one.

The four stamens grow in two unequal pairs, the filaments emerging in the swollen part of the tube, presumably at the kink. The upper pair extends feathery filaments down the inside of the tube, their anthers just visible in the throat (Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
