Lapeirousia arenicola orange bud

A Lapeirousia arenicola bud is orange when only the outside surfaces of the tepals show. The tube is brown-red on the outside like the pedicel.

Flowers appear late in winter and early in spring (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
