    Antimima paucifolia buds

    Antimima paucifolia buds
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The buds of Antimima paucifolia are all about the fleshy, leaf-like sepals. The bud is elongated into an oval shape seen from the top; the sepals somewhat unequal.

Upper stems are thick, succulent and reddish brown in colour, visible due to elongation in the internodes (Smith, et al, 1998; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
