    Indigofera flabellata leaves

    Indigofera flabellata leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The short-stalked to about stalkless leaves of Indigofera flabellata are digitately divided into three, five or seven leaflets on very short stalks. These blue-green leaflets are oblong or narrowly lanceolate with rounded tips or sometimes conspicuously prolonged into narrowly pointed tips.

The margins of the finely hairy blade are rolled under and the midrib is prominent on the lower surface, sunken on top (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
