    Erica densifolia many plants

    Erica densifolia many plants
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

A stand of young, single-stemmed Erica densifolia plants in this recently cleared patch has settled well before many other species of returning fynbos in the Langkloof. Vigorous flowering of young plants on bare, disturbed ground seems to occur often in this area (Manning and Helme, 2024; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist).
