Asystasia gangetica subsp. micrantha or A. intrusa flowers

The flowers of Asystasia gangetica subsp. micrantha or A. intrusa grow in small clusters, terminally and axillary.

The green buds are narrow and erect, too angular to be cylindrical, showing folds in the elongating corolla. The green colour and lesser size of the calyx contrast more strongly as the corolla develops. Tiny, green bracts are present below the calyx next to the pedicel.
