Erica halicacaba leaves from the side

Erica halicacaba leaves from the side
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Seen from the side, the Erica halicacaba leaves show the white grooves on their rounded lower surfaces where the margins are rolled under. The straight leaves are fairly blunt-tipped.

These upper stem leaves mainly ascend slightly; they may also spread or occasionally angle down (Manning and Helme, 2024; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
