    Acmadenia mundiana leaves

    Acmadenia mundiana leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Acmadenia mundiana leaves overlap as they ascend, spreading but little as they cover the upper stems closely.

The leaf-shape is broadly elliptic with a shaggy frame of whitish, marginal hairs. Leaf colour soon turns darker green below the pale green to yellow-green of the stem-tips.

Some leaves in picture are slightly angled to the side, while the shapes are not always perfectly symmetrical (Manning, 2007; Mustart, et al, 1997; www.plantzafrica.com).
