    Zaluzianskya benthamiana leaves

    Zaluzianskya benthamiana leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The dark green leaf blades of Zaluzianskya benthamiana are shiny, the sunken midribs visible to their tapered tips. The leaf margins are not quite entire but nearly so.

The mainly purple stems are faintly hairy, here more spreading than erect. The photo was taken in August near the Maskam Mountain south of Vanrhynsdorp (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
