    Nemesia ligulata curly calyces

    Nemesia ligulata curly calyces
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The narrow, upcurving sepals of Nemesia ligulata are dark green, longitudinally lined and hairy, a bit like tomato calyces. A couple of pointed, pale yellow spurs are just visible behind some flowers.

There is no holding back a healthy N. ligulata plant in its blooming season when conditions are favourable (Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005).
