    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The long-tubed flower of Manulea praeterita has narrow, green sepal lobes. The tubular corolla ends in five spreading white lobes with notched tips. There is a dark yellow star-shaped marking sunken around the flower mouth.

Two dissimilar pairs of stamens end inside the tube (Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; iNaturalist).
