    Rhynchopsidium pumilum leaves

    Rhynchopsidium pumilum leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The alternate leaves of Rhynchopsidium pumilum are linear or needle-like and channelled, snaking up from the stems.

Brown in dry conditions at the time of the photo, the leaves may be much greener. They are sparsely covered in short, pale glandular hairs causing the leaves to be sticky. Leaf dimensions are up to 2 cm long and 2 mm wide (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
