    Bulbine praemorsa leaves roughing it

    Bulbine praemorsa leaves roughing it
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The few Bulbine praemorsa leaves are reddish purple to sepia here, coloured in accordance with the growing conditions that prevail. Green goes with growth, red with rest in leaves under stress.

The dry leaf-tips twirl as if completing their work shift is cause for merriment (Manning, 2009; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist).
