    Oftia africana flower

    Oftia africana flower
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The Oftia africana flower has long, whitish hairs around its mouth, angled inwards but not obstructing entry. Very short hairs are scattered further out on the corolla lobes or petals.

The oblong, white lobes have flimsy margins and longitudinal surface ridges, as well as a small blue mark near each lobe base.

Some creamy buds close-by complete the cluster, likely to open soon.
