    Hesperantha pauciflora leaves

    Hesperantha pauciflora leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The few sword-shaped, deciduous leaves of Hesperantha pauciflora angle out in a minimal fan. The pale green blades of unequal size have slight midribs and are abruptly pointed, somewhat blunt.

The leaves become up to 16 cm long, their tips lower than the flowers (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Eliovson, 1990; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
