    Serruria aitonii new leaves

    Serruria aitonii new leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

New Serruria aitonii leaves in picture have densely clustered, short segments in a fresh yellow-green colour with red tips. The older leaves are pale grey, freer from each other and less hairy than the young ones.

The dull reddish stems are nearly straight and also softly hairy (Manning, 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://proteaatlas.org.za).
