    Moraea minor flower profile

    Moraea minor flower profile
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

In profile the flower of Moraea minor shows its deep, funnel-shaped corolla cup. The corolla colouring on the outside is about the same as inside. The plant produces a few branched flower stems.

Flowering happens in late winter and early spring. The photo was taken in August (Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
