    Lebeckia pauciflora flowers

    Lebeckia pauciflora flowers
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The brightly yellow Lebeckia pauciflora flower has a broad banner petal that is reflexed on a channelled claw, hairless on the outside (as inside). The wings are obovate and the keel convex, curled in a semi-circle, sac-like and clawed.

Tiny brown stripe-marks are present at the base of the petals, mainly the banner (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
