    Romulea sabulosa flower outside surface

    Romulea sabulosa flower outside surface
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Jack Lätti

The outside surface of the Romulea sabulosa corolla shows the feathery line markings on the tepals. The shape of a bishops mitre comes to mind from the white lines.

The green bracts adhering to the corolla are also finely, longitudinally lined (Manning, 2009; iNaturalist).
