    Selago divaricata shrublet

    Selago divaricata shrublet
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

A lowly Selago divaricata shrublet spreads its straight, slender branches in all directions from the plant base. The dark green leaves thus have maximum exposure to sunlight, given their smallness.

The leaf covering of the stems is so sparse that there is likely more mass in stems than foliage.

The plant is aromatic (Williamson, 2010; Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; JSTOR).
