    Cephalophyllum pillansii

    Cephalophyllum pillansii
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Cephalophyllum pillansii is one of the usually bicoloured flower members of a mesemb genus. The plants spread slightly on short stems, forming a few dense clumps of erect, blue-grey, succulent leaves.

Pale yellow flowers mostly with dark pinkish red centres are presented above the leaves (Smith, et al, 1998; Herre, 1971; iNaturalist).
