Trachyandra bulbinifolia, commonly known in Afrikaans as the solknol (sol bulb) and earlier classified scientifically as Anthericum bearing three specific names in that genus in succession, is a perennial geophyte reaching 40 cm in height when flowering.

The plant is distributed in the Northern Cape and Namibia, found throughout Namaqualand. The habitat is sandy flats. The species is not considered to be threatened in its habitat early in the twenty first century (Le Roux, et al, 2005; iNaturalist; http://redlist.sanbi.org).
