    Aristea capitata near Bainskloof

    Aristea capitata near Bainskloof
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

This Aristea capitata plant flowering in Bainskloof fynbos has formed a clump that managed several October flowering stems. Nothing around resembles the blue flowers, adding clarity of message to the usual pollinators: hurry!

This plant favours moist patches; moisture being more available in winter in these parts (Manning, 2007; www.plantzafrica.com).
