    Hibiscus vitifolius leaves

    Hibiscus vitifolius leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Ivan Lätti

Lush green Hibiscus vitifolius leaves vary in size and colour in the photo. The leaves are simple and alternate upon the stems. Hairiness is more notable on smaller leaves and lower surfaces of the leaves; it also occurs and varies upon the stems.

The leaf veins are recessed on the upper surfaces, prominent below. The marginal teeth are large and angular to rounded. The leaf petiole is from 2 cm to 7 cm long (Pooley, 1998; Manning, 2009; Blundell, 1992; www.zimbabweflora.co.zw).
