    Erica glandulosa glandular hairs

    Erica glandulosa glandular hairs
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Ivan Lätti

Something of the glandular hairiness of the Erica glandulosa plant is visible in the photo, particularly on the stubby, straight leaves. The specific name, glandulosa, refers to these characteristic glandular hairs. The flower tubes are shiny and curved.

It is thought that this plant is E. glandulosa subsp. glandulosa (Manning and Helme, 2024; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; Baker and Oliver, 1967; iNaturalist; iSpot).
