    The soft and delicate Heliophila collina plants grow vigorously in season, flourishing in their harsh climate also where the soil has been disturbed.

    Thousands of these plants present their small flowers in impressive stands at bloomtime in a good season, arriving late winter and early spring (Manning and Goldblatt, 1997; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
