Schizochilus cecilii subsp. culveri inflorescence

The inflorescence of Schizochilus cecilii subsp. culveri is a dense spike of about 7 cm long. The erect stem is soft at its tip, causing the weight of the flowers and buds to curve the stalk down. The floral bracts are small, their tips acutely pointed. The flowers are fragrant late in the day.
