    Holothrix secunda leaves

    Holothrix secunda leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The prostrate, green leaves of Holothrix secunda are shown here, somewhat damaged. The two basal leaves are flat on the ground, opposing each other and rounded, heart-shaped or ovate. The leaves are thick and fleshy, pale to dark green, hairless or in this case sparsely covered in long white hairs (Liltved and Johnson, 2012).
