    Habenaria pseudociliosa inflorescence

    Habenaria pseudociliosa inflorescence
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The dense inflorescence of Habenaria pseudociliosa is many-flowered, bearing from 18 to 30 small flowers. The lance-shaped bracts among the flowers, folded along their midribs, partly shield the flowers from view. Flowering happens in summer to mid-autumn (www.africanorchids.dk; www.orchidspecies.com).
