    Eulophia streptopetala flower spike

    Eulophia streptopetala flower spike
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The full inflorescence of Eulophia streptopetala shows the flowers whorled in threes in the lax spike. The pointed bracts among the buds at the top are green, lower down they are dry and papery, as are the small upper stem leaves that have no flowers.

Flowering stems of this Eulophia become from 40 cm to 2,3 m tall, bearing 4 to 35 flowers (Liltved and Johnson, 2012).
