    Pegolettia baccaridifolia leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The alternate leaves of Pegolettia baccaridifolia are obovate with rounded to obtusely pointed tips and toothed margins. They taper to the base and have sturdy petioles. Leaf colour is pale to yellowish green in the photo, mottled from large surface cells. They become 15 mm long and 5 mm wide.

The leaves are strongly aromatic (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2010; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
