    Anacampseros arachnoides cobwebby leaves

    Anacampseros arachnoides cobwebby leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The chunky, buff coloured leaves of Anacampseros arachnoides seen here cluster along the stem, covered in a sparse white mat of variably long hair. Dried out stalks of past flowering are still attached to the tip stem. The angular, succulent leaves taper to acute tips.

Some corrugation-like leaf surface unevenness, maybe associated with April drought in the Little Karoo is present on some leaves. The farm where the photo was taken, Minwater (little water), isnt called this for no reason.
