    Indigofera superba leaves

    Indigofera superba leaves
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The alternate leaves of Indigofera superba are pinnate, comprising 7 to 11 rounded to obovate leaflets on short stalks. The leaf has a terminal leaflet and stipules at its petiole base. The grey-green leaflets are finely hairy and fold in along their midribs. Tiny protruding leaflet tips are sometimes visible (Bean and Johns, 2005; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984).
