    Moraea neglecta flower base

    Moraea neglecta flower base
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The tepals of Moraea neglecta show lines or dotted lines on their outside surfaces, both on the large outer tepals and the narrow inner ones. The funnel shape of the flower base is clear to see, as well as the wavy aspect of the outer tepals and the erect, incurving style branches (Manning, 2007; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iSpot).
