    Geissorhiza ovata flower in profile

    Geissorhiza ovata flower in profile
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

The erect, brown anthers curve in to each other on the flower of Geissorhiza ovata in the photo, their surfaces granular. The lower flower in picture, having opened first, is past its best, the tepals furled and fading. The green calyx at the base has rounded lobe tips (Manning, 2007; iSpot).
