    Crassula perforata snaking into view

    Crassula perforata snaking into view
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Ivan Lätti

This Crassula perforata stem tip has its leaves spaced further apart than seen on other specimens in the Crassula Album of this Site. The opposite leaves are still merged at the base. Leaves are fairly narrow, tapering or attenuating to acute tips. Green mottling is visible on the pale green to yellow leaf surfaces.

This plant was seen next to the road in Meiringspoort, the mountain pass through the Swartberg Mountains where some plants including this one receive little sunlight at the foot of the tall cliffs (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist).
