    Keep going!

    Keep going!
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Jack Lätti

The grass here isn’t fit for a self-respecting blue wildebeest, so we are trekking! Hope to find something better over there.

Fortunately the Kruger National Park is large enough to provide more options of palatable short grass. If another herd hasn’t thought the same already! No longer free to roam as in the great migration of brindled gnu still happening in east Africa, the space available in some local game reserves gives fair comfort.

Still found in at least ten African countries, the blue wildebeest numbers are stable around 1,5 million, not considered threatened early in the 21st century.

It is then still likely to spot aghenother gnu, as Flanders and Swann did so long ago.
