The succulent leaves of Delosperma obtusum are three-angled to slightly rounded, ending in blunt tips. The specific name, obtusum, is a Latin word meaning blunt, referring to these leaf tips. The blades are green to blue-green. Shiny water cells are visible on the otherwise dull green leaf surfaces in picture. Leaf dimensions are from 5 mm to 17 mm long and 3 mm wide (Pooley, 1998; Smith, et al, 1998; iNaturalist).
