Hesperantha radiata subsp. radiata perianth profile

Hesperantha radiata subsp. radiata perianth profile
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Louis Jordaan

The cream or white flowers of Hesperantha radiata subsp. radiata have corolla tubes from 10 mm to 18 mm long, the tepals bending back when fully open. Both the bracts around the curved tube and the outer tepals in picture are longitudinally vein-lined, partly in green on the visible bract, otherwise purple.

Flowering happens late in winter to before midspring (Curtis-Scott, et al, 2020; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
