    Erica afra upper branches

    Erica afra upper branches
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Louis Jordaan

The sparsely leaved Erica afra branches in picture appear loose and wispy, the young ones white, the older ones brown-barked.

The flower clusters are scattered on small side-branches and at stem-tips.

The photo was taken in the Outeniqua Mountains (Manning and Helme, 2024; Marais, (Ed.), 2017; Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; Manning, 2007; iNaturalist).
