    Delosperma leendertziae erect inflorescences

    Delosperma leendertziae erect inflorescences
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Judd Kirkel Welwitch

Several erect flower clusters may be produced above the leaves of a Delosperma leendertziae plant. The erect to spreading plant grows few flowers in each small, loose inflorescence at a stem-tip.

The reddish stems may be faintly hairy. The five sepals are succulent and pointed, appearing in two different shapes.

The thickly succulent, curving leaves are narrowly oblong, dark green with shallow channelling on their upper surfaces (Smith, et al, 1998; Van Wyk and Malan, 1997; iNaturalist).
