    Limonium peregrinum leafy stem

    Limonium peregrinum leafy stem
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

A Limonium peregrinum stem may be densely leafy in its upper parts. The branched one in picture has many stalked leaves ascending in two opposite arrays from the cream-coloured stem.

The leaf-bases are broad, partly stem-clasping but not more than halfway around. There are no stipules (Manning, 2007; Leistner, (Ed.), 2000; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist).
