    Arctotheca populifolia small flowerhead

    Arctotheca populifolia small flowerhead
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Arctotheca populifolia plants are found on coastal dunes, here also on flat beach sand at Nature’s Valley.

The young leaves are narrow and fully covered by whitish felt. Older ones grow marginal teeth and may lose the felt cover, sometimes separating along the vein lines (Manning, 2007; Le Roux, et al, 2005; Mustart, et al, 1997; Manning and Goldblatt, 1996; iNaturalist).
