    Euryops speciosissimus involucre

    Euryops speciosissimus involucre
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The narrow bracts along the rim of the Euryops speciosissimus involucre are triangular, spaced and dully maroon-tipped under the long ray florets. There are faint vein lines on the involucral cup, stronger longitudinal ones on the rays. Disc florets can be glimpsed between the ray bases, no taller than the bract tips (Manning, 2007; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org).
