    Euryops tagetoides plant base

    Euryops tagetoides plant base
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

Near the ground, the reseeding Euryops tagetoides plant may be few- or much-branched, in its youth leaves also present there.

Thicker, low stems become brown through the white-velvety covering, common on young stems and leaf bases. Some leaves have turned greener by being less hairy (Bond and Goldblatt, 1984; iNaturalist; http://www.worldfloraonline.org).
