    Garuleum bipinnatum leaf lobes

    Garuleum bipinnatum leaf lobes
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The twice dissected Garuleum bipinnatum leaf’s smallest lobes are present near the tip and erratically also on mainly the lower margins of some lateral lobes. Leaf lobing is diminished on upper leaves near the flowerheads. The leaf is slightly channelled along the top of its main axis or midrib.

Fine hairiness can be spotted on some parts of the thinly fleshy and rough-textured lobes. The hairs are glandular on the aromatic and slightly sticky plant (Vlok and Schutte-Vlok, 2015; iNaturalist; http://pza.sanbi.org; http://www.worldfloraonline.org).
