    Tetragonia reduplicata spring buds

    Tetragonia reduplicata spring buds
    Author: Ivan Lätti
    Photographer: Thabo Maphisa

The rounded Tetragonia reduplicata buds and almost closed flowers will probably spread their segments soon, depending on sunlight to come, later in the Biedouw Valley morning.

Coloured variously, albeit dully in green, cream, purple, brown and several nameless shades, the yellow open flower will make up in brightness, sufficient for hailing pollinators to many anthers (iNaturalist).
